Salclear E Drops Salclear e-drops performs two functions for the swimmer or scuba diver. It softens the wax in the ear canal and helps its dispersal. In doing so of course it helps open the ear channels and this aids the free flow of trapped water outwards. Secondly Salclear e-drops is an efficient and effective wetting agent. It lowers the surface tension of water droplets which are stuck in the ear canal, causes them to spread and flow freely. The end result being a breakdown of the entrapped water droplets to a fluid which more readily runs out of the ear canal. In formulating Salclear e-drops we’ve additionally tried to address the needs of the customer for a product with less ‘burn’... a term used by divers and swimmers which is associated with traditional ear drops products for waterlogged ears which are based on very high alcohol content. Such products work typically by causing trapped water to evaporate more readily, as well as spreading and dispersing the droplets. Yet the high levels of alcohol used can sensitise the skin
